Question polymer crossings
We have a question regarding the (need for) avoidance of crossings/overlaps of the polymer. At this moment we generate polymers by the Rosenbluth algorithm with random offset. Although the probability is small, high-energy configurations still occur and there is still a chance that beads cross (see figure below). Is there a need to try to solve this, or should we continue to the PERM algorithm and see if by implementation of the limits for the weight factors, this problem will solve itself?
