Lecture notes week 2
TODO:
- Go through lecture notes on units. Is it described clearly?
- Explain the minimal image convention better (this is also in week 1, but I think it's best to do it more properly here). In past cases people misunderstood it often as there is only an interaction of one atom with only the single nearest one other atom. However it should be still interactions with all N-1 other atoms, but for each we need to take the nearest copy
- Possibly have again an animation explaining it?
- Define milestones. E.g. have two particles interact with each other (should be a simple oscillation), check if it works with the bcs. what else? Does it make sense to check more than 2 in detail? Or is it better to wait for Verlet and check energy conservation?
