Issues that can potentially be closed

I closed a bunch of issues that I think could be closed, however, there are some more that I don't know what to do with:

• #86 @Jorn mentions in #86 (comment 16327) that some more tests were implemented.
• #46 where we decided not to hide the function from the learner
• #45
• #31 I don't think we can go around this problem
• #24 doesn't seem like we will ever do this
• #89 one point to address potentially
• #68 seems like the concern doesn't exist anymore
• #85 (closed) might not be reasonable to do considering the memory usage
