Works for the special case where all the eigenvalues and eigenvectors
are calculated, and where no wave-functions are leaving or entering the
energy window.

Specially well suited for distinguishing level crossings when the wave
functions might not be so close to each other. For example, when only
a few points in k-space are used to get eigenvalues and eigenvectors of
a Hamiltonian.
