fixes for compatibility

A user creates a mc widget in the front end and clicks on finalize. In the preview of the exam the checkboxes that are printed to the PDF are not in the same location as the checkboxes in the mc widget. This combatibility issue between the front end and the back end code is an issue that is fixed in merge request !15 (merged).
