latex: refuse to compile with illegal settings
There are two common categories of errors that can be easily fixed at the stage of generating the pdf.
- The user may use
\maketitle
, which will only apply to the first copy, but not to any further ones. Additionally it would remove the qr code from the first page of the first copy and make it differently formatted from all the other ones. - The user may forget to specify the a4 paper format, leading to a coordinate miscalculation if the printers are not using the same format.
In either case we should either refuse to compile or behave in a correct way (call \maketitle
multiple times, or adjust the geometry).
